All enter. Well, all except for Gary. No one told him the Battle was happening. Wolfgang, eager to prove himself, leads the current crew on a power play against the shorthanded late-90s group, defeating them. Meanwhile, the originals are duking it out with Van Hagar. It should be an easy victory for the OG’s, what with them being awesome and Van Hagar being filled with Jack Daniel’s and Sammy’s bathtub tequila, but all that booze allows them to feel less pain—plus there’s some dude in a 5150 t-shirt offering up strategies to Van Hagar on how to get the original Dave and Eddie battling themselves. Wolfgang, foaming at the mouth, is held back by the rest of the current crew. They’re old, tired. They’ll let the other two beat the hell out of one another and then swoop in on the wounded victor. But an alliance is created that changes everything. The two Michaels, seeing what’s become of them, attack Wolfgang. The son is strong, but the Michaels stronger. The rest of the current crew, without the young blood, panic and enter the fray. The two Michaels now enlist Sammy, removing his bug-eyed sunglasses to reveal his fate in the band. The Michaels and Sammy take out the current crew. The original Eddie, Alex, and Dave easily destroy the Eddie and Alex of Van Hagar. All that remain are the original Eddie, Alex, and Dave, the two Michaels, and Sammy. In a twist, that original Michael reveals he had planned all along, he shows his true allegiance to the OG’s and the rest of Van Hagar falls. Eddie/Alex/Michael/Dave win, celebrating with a performance of their debut, in its entirety, at the Thunderdome.
