I was lucky enough to make a new friend over the weekend and am extremely honored to have a letter from him serve as the first official piece on the new website.
Different Site, Same Fool, Right? →
Right!
There is now a new website for What a Fool Believes. The new site, available via the link above, will serve as the primary locale for my deranged creations. You can expect all of the same hijinx, but in a more suitable format.
The Tumblr website will remain as a secondary source for the smaller, but still just as deranged, bits and to inform you of the new pieces on the main site.
Foolish Chatter
A Television Studio
There is a small stage at the center of the studio. At the back of the stage is a pair of large, maroon curtains, behind which is the backstage area. A sign hangs before the curtains. It reads “Foolish Chatter”. To the left of the stage there is a slightly elevated platform with a desk and 3 chairs, one behind the desk and two next to it. Two cameramen are five feet in...

An office
3:00 PM
What a Fool Believes sits at his desk, alternately chatting online and processing orders, with headphones on, listening to music.
He feels a tap on his shoulder. He turns around to find Uncle Sam standing before him. He selects pause on his iPod and removes the headphones.
What a Fool Believes: Uncle Sam?

Franz Ferdinand Talk "Tonight"
There are times on this site when yours truly has to be a bit cutthroat when obtaining a story. Not because of this hyper Internet world where no news lasts more than a few minutes before getting covered, but because it makes me feel like a pirate.
When I found out a few months ago that Franz Ferdinand were releasing a new album in 2009, I did some research to find someone close to the band. ...
9 Promises for '09
I fully realize that we are already twelve days deep into the new year and so much has already happened (Gaza Strip, Snorkler Punches Shark and Survives Attack, Blagojevich and Burris, Taco Bell Wedding, Bush’s Exit/Obama’s Entrance, Fat Ninja Tries to Steal ATMs), but I have been away for the holidays and vacation. So, please, let me make up for being late to the party by slamming a...
33 1/3: The Longlist →
perpetua:
Here’s the list of every record pitched to 33 1/3 this time around. I don’t care how much you looooooooove Slint, I’m telling you right now: If you care about smart, creative, exciting music criticism, the two books you should be rooting for in this are Rock ‘n’ Soul Part One by Hall & Oates and We Are The World by USA For Africa. And no, I didn’t put in for either of those, but...
